Global edutech company zSpace is officially launching its VR and AR-based immersive education services, which have been showcased in over 40 countries worldwide, into the Korean market.
zSpace, a U.S. company that recently entered the Korean education market, announced that it will participate in the “17th Korea Education Expo,” held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, from the 16th to the 18th.
zSpace provides STEAM education services to approximately 800 schools in the United States. The satisfaction rate among teachers who have applied the system in actual educational settings is close to 10%, and it was selected as the best invention in the education sector by Time magazine last year. zSpace was recognized for its technological prowess at an expo hosted by the International Society for Educational Technology (ISTE) and was selected as an outstanding company for three consecutive years.
zSpace is introducing a system that utilizes all-in-one personal computers (PCs) and laptops instead of standard VR head-mounted displays (HMDs). Users can experience the product firsthand and share the screen using dedicated 3D glasses and a stylus pen. This overcomes the shortcomings of existing VR devices, which had limitations in educational settings due to personalized and isolated applications. Additionally, by utilizing zView, users can indirectly experience 3D VR services using augmented reality (AR) technology in a 2D visual environment.
G-Space products are exclusively supplied to the domestic market by partner company Bestech Systems (CEO Seo Woo-seung).
Seo Woo-seung, CEO of Bestech Systems, stated, “I am pleased to be able to showcase the flagship products of G-Space—a global leader in the AR and VR field that has proven its quality on the world stage—to the general public at the Korea Education Expo.” He added, “I hope this serves as an opportunity for people to encounter and enjoy VR in actual educational settings in Korea.”
Bestech Systems plans to exhibit G-Space products for three days at a booth set up by the product distributor, MC Media Solution, at the Korea Education Expo, providing visitors with the opportunity to try them out.
